Ah, the skin care aisle at the drugstore. We’ve all been there (probably one too many times) in a desperate attempt to find that perfect combination of products that will solve all of our skin care problems. Finding quality skin care products that will help with your skin concerns is hard, finding these products at an affordable price is even harder.

It’s important to use natural products that won’t be too harsh on your skin. Here’s what to use if you want quality, affordable skincare products.

Three-Step Nightly Routine: Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize

A three-step daily routine is essential to ensure that you get a deep clean and maintain and even skin tone.

Cleanse—Facial cleanser is important because it removes dirt, oil, and other unwanted debris. Good cleansers also double as great makeup removers. We recommend a gentle formula that can be used for both cleansing and as a makeup remover.

Tone—Toners are for people who want extra cleansing after wearing makeup or heavy skin products such as sunscreen. Toners are the most helpful and necessary for people with acne-prone or oily skin.

Moisturize—a suitable moisturizer can help prevent and treat dry skin. It can also protect sensitive skin, improve skin tone and texture, and mask imperfections.

  • Argan Oils—Argan oil is a multi-use oil that you can use as a moisturizer for your hair, face, hands, nails, body, etc. Most organic argan oils contain just three main ingredients, with the main one being the argan oil itself. If you’ve never tried oil for moisturizing, argan oil is a good place to start.
  • Shea Butter—Since shea butter has such a large healing and moisturizing fraction, regular use of this natural cream can treat many skin problems including blemishes, wrinkles, itching, sunburns, small skin wounds, eczema, skin allergies, insect bites, frostbite, and more.

Once a Week: Facial Masks

In addition to a daily three-step routine, it is important to incorporate a face mask into your routine at least once a week. The right face mask can help hydrate skin, remove excess oils, and improve the appearance of your pores. They’re also an excellent way to help out with impurities. Depending on your skin concerns, there are several different types of masks to choose from, including:

Charcoal Mask—This mask draws bacteria, toxins, chemicals, dirt, oil, and other micro-particles to the surface. It then absorbs these substances and carries them away when you rinse off your face.

Gelatin Mask—This mask, as it dries on your skin, adds moisture and nutrients that stimulate and promote collagen growth, help damaged skin, improve elasticity, and add volume.

Clay Mask—Clay face masks work well for every skin type, without causing irritation or redness. These masks can be used for treating both acne and signs of aging. The masks also remove excess oil from skin while saturating it with nutrients it needs.
